Welcome to my website. Since 1st March 2006
,
when we started
the site we have received over 76,800
hits. Thank you. There is a real demand for news on the National Women's Team.
I have played soccer since I was 5 years
old, and have been fortunate to play for some excellent teams from around the
world. I will provide regular news, not just about what is happening in Canadian
soccer, but insights into what it means to be a woman soccer player in the
Canadian Soccer Association and playing in FIFA World Cups and at the Olympic
Games.
I have written over 275 journals and
articles on this site about my early soccer years in Quebec Soccer,
my NCAA soccer career with the Lady Vols of the University of Tennessee, the W.
League's Ottawa Fury and Norway's Team Strommen of the Topserrien league. Please let me know if there is
other news you would like to see
on my site, and please keep visiting as often as possible.

RHIAN'S SOCCER JOURNALS:
THE NORTH OF ENGLAND
26th November 2008
First and foremost, I want to wish Amy Vermulen a very happy 25th birthday, and right after that I want to send
a huge congratulations to Amber Vermulen who gave birth to a little boy on the 26th. I don't think Amy could have
asked for a better birthday present than a brand new nephew.
We have had a busy few days, although in retrospect nothing was as hectic as our first week in Ireland. We did
of course, have a great time in Scotland as well, but we were excited to reach Hadrian's Wall
in England, and a return to our hikes. The drive from Glasgow was a simple one
and we were thrilled to find exactly what we had envisaged as our ideal farm
hostel

RHIAN'S SOCCER JOURNALS:
SCOTLAND AND MEETING AMY WALSH 22
November 2008
by Diana & Rhian combined
The last few days in Scotland have been a little more chaotic, and a little less planned, than the Irish segment
of our tour, so we have
had days varying from really good ... to days that were mediocre at best.
The first day we arrived in Glasgow, we wandered around the city rather aimlessly. We almost made it to places of interest,
but we invariably turned around right before getting to them. Obviously we only found this out later, when looking at a detailed map.
