Thank you to everyone who came out on Sunday, 14th September, 2008.  This years Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto was another huge success and we couldnt have done it without your help.

A special big thank you goes out to all our volunteers who helped on the day and made this fabulous day run as smoothly at possible. 

We are still accepting last minute donations, so if you have some more to collect online or need to mail in cheques/cash, please do so to the ACT offices.

WHY WE STILL WALK

The Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto is an annual fundraising walk spearheaded by the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT).
Each year thousands of caring men, women, children - and even a few pets – come together to collect funds, raise awareness, show support and continue to fight against this deadly illness.

Since the first event took place in 1989, the Toronto Walk has raised over $8.5 million dollars through the participation of more than 100,000 walkers, hundreds of corporate and community teams and many caring corporate supporters.

We don't walk alone - Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Across Canada

Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto is part of a national walk week, which kicks off in Toronto. Tens of thousands of Canadians from coast to coast will be collecting pledges and Walk for Life!  Join us as we march through Halifax, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and many points in between.

Back by popular demand for another live performance is the fabulous Boogie Wonder Band! (So make sure your running shoes can double as grooving shoes!) Not to be outdone, we're also bringing back Toronto's funkiest Community Fair. We're carrying out the retro theme all day, so get your best costume, biggest hair, brightest makeup, and highest platforms ready to dance the day away!

Is that it? Of course not! Keep your eyes peeled for more new and exciting components to this year's Walk.

The Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Toronto route is new for this year. We are taking the Walk a bit longer in order to get the most exposure and show Toronto how important it is to support the Walk and ACT.
